Navy Sailor | Anti-Discrimination Whistleblower

Jon Stremel

Jon Stremel is a Navy sailor and anti-discrimination whistleblower. He received the 2020 Shaw/Marven Military Pillar Award from the 9th Annual Whistleblower Summit. Stremel exposed the military's Family Advocacy Program for discriminatory practices and hiding evidence with domestic violence and child abuse cases.

A student at Harvard University, Stremel's background is in Communications and Writing. Mr. Stremel is an award-winning novelist and children's book author. He was one of the founding members of the Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD). Mr. Stremel has extensive knowledge about the military's Equal Opportunity process. He has written several bills to help tackle the problem from a Congressional level.

As a member of the Wounded Warrior Program, he knows what it is like to be retaliated against and helps others navigate the EO and Inspector General investigation process. Stremel resides in Hawaii and is currently lobbying for anti-discrimination bills.
