Mr. Todd A. Weiler serves as the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). In this capacity, Mr. Weiler serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense and the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) on all matters relating to Civilian and Military Personnel Policies, Reserve Integration, Military Community, and Family Policy and Total Force Planning and Requirements. Additionally, he exercises day-to-day supervision of the Department of Defense Education Activity and the Defense Commissary Agency. Finally, he provides oversight of the Armed Forces Retirement Homes.

Before serving as the ASD-M&RA, Mr. Weiler accumulated over 20 years of human resource management and executive leadership experience, including information technology management, organizational development, business transformation, and strategic planning. In addition, he has an extensive background in military personnel matters and wounded warrior programs. Mr. Weiler founded and served as CEO of One Hemisphere Ventures, Inc., providing strategic and management consulting services to various business and government organizations. Previous positions include Vice President, Computer World Services Corporation; Co-Owner, Chief Operating Officer, Arrowpoint Corporation; and Vice President & CIO, Communities In Schools.

Mr. Weiler is an Army veteran and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs. Mr. Weiler previously served as a White House Liaison to the Department of Defense, appointed by the President of the United States to various commissions and boards, including the Department of Transportation Civil Tiltrotor Committee and the Federal Prison Industries Board of Directors.

Mr. Weiler is a decorated combat veteran of Operations Desert Shield/Storm, serving as an attack helicopter pilot, participating in the largest air assault operation in history. He is a distinguished graduate of the Army Aviation Center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University, with a minor in Pre-Law.
