MEET THE SPEAKERS

Melanie Devoe is an Attorney Advisor in the Whistleblower Office at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission where she serves as the liaison to the Division of Enforcement.  In this role, she analyzes incoming whistleblower tips and provides guidance to Enforcement attorneys seeking to refer whistleblower tips to other regulators.  Prior to joining the Whistleblower Office, she was a Senior Trial Attorney in the Division of Enforcement and investigated major companies engaged in market manipulation and other violations.

She held a similar investigative role at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Division of Investigations.  Ms. Devoe also worked for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in their litigation division and as a senior associate at an international law firm working on energy matters.  She received her B.A. from McGill University and her J.D. from the University of Texas Law School.
