A 2004 graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, Francesca A. Graham served in the active-duty Army until her retirement in 2024. Prior to matriculating to West Point, Francesca served as an Army Reserve enlisted Civil Affairs soldier between 1997 to 1999. Upon commissioning in 2004, she served as a basic branch military intelligence officer until 2012, and then served the remainder of her career as a strategic intelligence officer. She deployed twice to Iraq, twice to Korea, is a long-time Fort Liberty (formerly Bragg) alumni, and served as the aide-de-camp to the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt Gen Vincent Stewart, Marine Corps. Francesca is a Senior rated Army Airborne Jumpmaster. She is the first woman and first intelligence officer to serve as the G5, Chief of Plans for the XVIII Airborne Corps, a position reserved for infantry officers, and is the first strategic intelligence officer to attend the Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). She holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, a Master of Arts in International Relations, a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence, and a Master of Science in Military Operational Art.
