Michael Ronickher is a partner at Whistleblower Partners, where he represents whistleblowers across various industries, including healthcare, defense, and securities. Leveraging his background as a civil tax enforcement attorney at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Mike assists whistleblowers in complex financial fraud and tax evasion matters.
He currently represents dozens of whistleblowers in litigation and sealed investigations under agency programs and the federal and state False Claims Acts.
Mike graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School, where he was a Public Interest Fellow and co-editor of the Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. He earned his undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude.
As a whistleblower attorney, Mike has been recognized as a Law360 Rising Star and has received honors in Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers. During his time as a trial attorney at the DOJ, he was awarded the Tax Division Outstanding Attorney Award three times. Most notably, he received two prestigious awards from the IRS—the Mitchell Rogovin Award and the Lucite Award—for his work on tax shelter enforcement as part of the trial team in the Wells Fargo Tax Shelter Trial.
