Former Chief SEC, Office of the Whistleblower
Creola “Cree” Kelly spent over two decades at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in senior leadership, advisory, and enforcement roles, including as Chief of the SEC’s Office of the Whistleblower and Senior Advisor to SEC Chair Mary Jo White. During her tenure leading the whistleblower program, the Commission awarded more than $1 billion to whistleblowers whose information contributed to successful enforcement actions. Previously, Cree spent over 15 years conducting high profile investigations involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, insider trading, market manipulation, and broker-dealer and investment adviser misconduct. She was also a founding member of the Enforcement Division’s Complex Financial Instruments Unit; a specialized unit focused on products and practices involving sophisticated market participants. Cree brings a unique perspective on how regulators evaluate whistleblower disclosures and the challenges faced by individuals who come forward to report wrongdoing.
