Prior to those endeavors, most of Erin’s career has been in healthcare, with a wide range of experience in a variety of settings, including being a medic in the U.S. Army, Director of Operations for a 12-clinic primary and specialty care practice, and working as the Director of Compliance, Ethics & Integrity for Kaiser Permanente’s Membership Administration department. Erin is passionate about serving her community, and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions, including Vice Chair of the Board of the American Red Cross of Santa Monica, Summer Camp Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Girl Scout Leader, wildlife rescue team volunteer, and animal outreach educator. She has also held a few jobs that may or may not be relevant to her career path, but are good conversation pieces, such as the owner/operator of two Cold Stone Creamery stores, and zookeeper at the Playboy Mansion. 

Erin currently splits her time between northern San Diego County and Costa Rica, where she launched a successful boat touring business in February of this year.  She is an avid traveler, reader, crafter, and animal advocate. She and her wife plan to retire in Costa Rica, and use that as a home base to travel the world in retirement, including frequent visits back to the U.S. to visit friends and family, and to continue to visit National Parks in the U.S. until they have seen all 63 (27 down, 36 to go!)
