Prior to EPMO, Ms. D’Alessandro served as the first deputy Director of the Office of Information Management in the Directorate of Administration.  In this capacity, she shared responsibility with the Director to set up the new office and oversee the execution of the Agency’s records management, knowledge management, and declassification programs, and the development of IT systems to support those business area.

In 1997, Ms. D’Alessandro served as the Director of Information Services, Engineering and Architecture for the Associate Deputy Director for Administration for Information Services.  In this role, she was designated in the federal registry as the CIA’s first Deputy CIO, had oversight responsibility for the CIA’s Y2K Program, and initiated development of its first Enterprise Technical Architecture.

In the 1990’s, Ms. D’Alessandro served as Chief, Corporate Applications Division in the Office of Information Technology where she was responsible for the development of the Agency’s critical enterprise messaging programs and the Agency’s records management program including managing its Information Management Officer cadre.  She initiated the creation of one of CIA’s most successful working capital fund enterprises—Ideas to Solutions (I2S).

Throughout the 1980s, Ms. D’Alessandro held various information technology positions in the Office of Scientific Weapons Research (OSWR), and the Office of Information Resources (OIR) in the Directorate of Intelligence (DI).

Ms. D’Alessandro holds a Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and is an alumni of Harvard’s Senior Executive Forum and the Intelligence Community’s Intelligence Fellows Program.  Since transitioning to the IG career field in 2006, she has acquired credentials as a Certified Inspector General and a Certified Fraud Examiner.  She has been awarded the CIA’s Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, and the NRO’s Medal of Distinguished Service.  She retired to Vero Beach Florida in 2015 and has two sons and two granddaughters.
