Until July 2025, Laura Pavlovic served as the Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization, where she led USAID efforts to foster stable and peaceful societies in complex political transitions and conflict-prone environments.  She previously served as the inaugural Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator at USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG), where she led efforts to elevate democracy, human rights and governance as a core objective of U.S. foreign assistance.  She also served in USAID's missions in East Africa, Ukraine, Serbia, and the Regional Development Mission for Asia in Bangkok, Thailand. She is currently a non-resident fellow at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Security and at RepresentUs. In 2025, she co-founded Our USAID Community, a grassroots network of more than 2400 former USAID employees working to protect a non-partisan federal workforce.
