In 2018, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General substantiated her claims of retaliation and exposed abuse of power at the highest levels of the Coast Guard. She was a 2019 State of the Union Guest of Honor to bring visibility and urgency to ending workplace bullying while supporting a multi-year Congressional investigation into the Coast Guard’s mishandling of investigations.
